I taught three undergraduate courses (International Monetary and Financial Economics, International Economics and Microeconomics) and a series of seminars for masters and Ph.D. students (Environmental Protection in the EU).
I first taught International Monetary and Financial Economics at ALBA (Academy of Liberal and Beuax Arts) during the academic year 2011-2012. The course focused on national income accounting, balance of payment, the basics of monetary policy, the exchange rate determination in the short and in the long run, and the analysis of different exchange rate systems.
From 2011 to 2016 I taught International Economics in specific programs for international students offered at the FUAB (Foundation of the Autonomous University of Barcelona). The course is focused on the main trade theories and the analysis of trade policy instruments.
These courses are offered to foreign students studying in Barcelona for one or two semesters, and are taught in English.
In 2016 I taught Microeconomics at the University of Barcelona (Faculty of Economics and Business). The course, taught in Spanish, analyses the decisions of the main economic agents and the determination of the market equilibrium in different market structures.
From 2019 to 2021 I taught Environmental Protection in the EU, for the course EUCONAS (teaching language: English) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Faculty of Law). After introducing sustainable development, the lecture provided a historical perspective on the EU position on environmental protection over time, an evaluation of the EU existing acquis on environmental protection, and a description of the European Green Deal.
I truly enjoy teaching, I always try to transmit students the value of education, to help them to achieve their goals, and to get them involved. I also see teaching as an activity complementary and very useful for the research, since it requires a deep understanding of the topic.
